    Ricoh Pro C5110 SC682-12

The technician tried to install Engine, Network Support, Web Support firmware, System/Copy firmware was not installed. probably should have installed System i Engine as a set. So now the machine is stuck with SC682-12. Tried to replace the Cyan PCDU, no luck, I tried all the resets I could think of. Still the same. Any ideas?

have you tried just the package all firmware, instead of individual?

SC682-12 is a communication error between the mainframe and the CYAN toner bottle, not the PCDU. Usually a bad chip on the bottle though it could be a bad connection to the bottle. Try re-seating the the toner bottle or installing a new bottle.

The definition is referring to PCU.

SC682-12 PCU: ID Chip Communication Error(C_Device Error (No ID chip))

I have replaced toner cartrige and PCDU. This was a working machine, the error accured after firmware update.

Downgrade the firmware to what it was. Check the seating of the toner hopper and the drawer unit closely.

              Hello.First sorry my english.
Can you tray to replace black pdcu instead cyan?. I dont remember exactly, but I think I had this code in this machine some years ago and reading the service manual of another Ricoh model this code would refered to black pdcu. Anyway, good luck.

Thread update, downgrading firmware didn't work. All PCDU are tested on other machine and working fine. So problem is narrowed to boards, most likely controller...
