I have used some from aliexpres "high durability"..for now they go with 60,000 but sometimes they have been damaged by hooks etc.
Since it is with oil, you have to lubricate it every 50,000 times because it dries out and creates jams.
Before doing the maintenance you have to have a medium broomstick and stick some foam on the diameter so that you can clean the case internally because the oil solidifies with the toner that manages to enter...be careful with the amount that is added. damages the lamp.
...... fill the syringe again to oil the plush.
or if you have the right fat, great

I have rebuilt several with different results, always when the felt is good. Many times they have worked well, giving a result of about 100k, but other times they have given cold offset from the first copies.

I have rebuilt several, and so far I haven't had any problems, I usually change the external sleeve, the pressure roller, and the thermistors, and I put a lot of oil with a syringe, in several stages, maybe 4 or 5, first I put a little, then I wait for it to absorb, and then I add more, I repeat this loop until it is visually visible
saturated, if the fabric strip is damaged I throw it away and change the complete heater, for now I have done: mpc2003, 3003, 6003, 2554, and 4054, and others that I don't remember... I have to be honest, my favorite is the one from mp4054 series, I have a lot of fun!

Tried it once but I had a hard time with that 3D puzzle and finally made a mistake and damage the sleeve - got angry and tossed everything in the bin LOL

Older sleeve units are easier to disassemlbe/reassemble - like the MPC2051 for lubication against tortured seal noises.

Simply not worth the bother when the genuine Ricoh sleeve does around 400k +

i have yet to see a 03 fuser hit 300k nevermind 400k and this is regular non arty or print heavy applications..
I do not know if they will still work and not code out or other issues if you remove the moving heat plate that pivets on both sides..
that one is a bit of a pain to align ang get everything closed up..
give me a teflon roller anyday b4 this crap..
i will chime in that the felt does NOT suck up the oil easily..
i never use all the oil as it would get on lamp..maybe pre heat them with hair dryer first and see..

I never had a fusing unit fail before 400K unless due to damage to the sleeve by improper clearing of paper jams, rings with large stones can be hard on sleeves and ITB. I have had lamps fail if you try to push them too far. The complete sleeve unit includes new lamps. An after market sleeve doesn't.

I always go reset the fuser message when it pops up at 400k, then let it run another couple 100k

It's kinda funny that you don't get the same life out of them.

The issue with those OEM part, sometimes it causing toner not stick.
Need to increase temperature to fix that.
But that create new problem, where the paper will curl when exit.

Yes, we get calls all the time for "replace fuser sleeve" if the print quality is still good & the sleeve visually looks good we simply reset the PM count.
