What exactly is the SC you are getting. Depending on the code, it could be a one of the thermopiles defective, a harness, the PSU or the BCU.

Try check the thermostat, if they "short", you can't reset at 5-810-002. Need to fix the thermostat first, then can be reset

Thanks for your response...Well, We have actually been trying this "Known good" Fuser unit with the "Good" Pico Fuse on three different units... One had an SC545...One had an SC554...and the third had an SC 561... I can put this Fuser unit into a working machine and it's fine...I pulled the fuse out and there was continuity... Am I missing something here??? I have done this once before and it worked a while back...For some reason it won't complete the 5810 #2.... The fuse does go where the blue loop is, Correct??? Is there a certain sequence in the reset that should be followed... Going crazzzzy here! Did the 3701 New Fuser as well... HELP !! before I go back to servicing Typewriters !!!

The only thing common for those 3 codes is the BCU.

Have a look at a new fuser, from memory the fuse does not go where the loop is.

You need to fit a NEW fuse, if you are taking a 'known good fuser' the fuse would already have blown.

are you talking about the complete fuser, or just the sleeve/heater?...make sure the code is for that model and the right mains voltage....which sc code exactly you have now?

BCU NVRAM got corrupted, try replace the nvram from other and change the bcu serial number. Or reprogram the bcu nvram from the defective ones with a good running ones.
