RIcoh MP 402 ADF bending originals in corners and prints are cut off on the left

Hello, I went on a MP 402 call yesterday and there are two problems:

    1. The ADF is bending the originals in both of the leading edge corners. Please see the picture attached. You can actually see the ADF pop up a little as the original is going through as it bends the corners. I pushed a light cardboard sheet through a few times but nothing is coming out. If I press down hard on the ADF as it is copying the original will not bend. So something is not right. I am thinking someone damaged it somehow and something inside is bent, but I can't see anything wrong. Any ideas?

    2. When I print the counter sheet it is missing the left image a little. For example the word "Serial" has the "S" and part of the "e" missing. It has nothing to do with ADF of course. How can this happen, and ideas on this?

The machine is in a church with a school for little kids. I am wondering if one of these kids got to the machine and messed it up....

Yes it sounds like that hinge is broken. I've done a few of those mods, works good.

Problem 2 is a dirty LED array that sits on top of the drum, clean the LED, replace the drum if the problem returns.
