    [Jamming] MPC3500 Jam 67

    Hi Guys!

Need help with one of my MPC3500's.... It intermittendly gives me Jam 67:
    _______________________

    Duplex Entrance: OFF
    (Out)
Duplex entrance sensor does not turn off after
    paper has passed this sensor.

When printing duplex the paper would just stop just after the section where the paper gets turned around; heading downwards to the reg rollers. I've peeked through the covers and see the paper getting turned around and then when its suppose to exit it goes up to a point and then just stops; 2 seconds after that the next sheet comes out from the fuser; thie first sheet is then still in the way and it shows Jam 67.

I've cleaned all the feedrollers and sensors but no progress.... This is very intermittend.... It started doning it again last week after having not done it for about 6 weeks.....

    Any advice would be appreciated.

    Thanks

    Chris

If you checked the sensor and it appears OK, try looking at the rubber relay rollers in the duplex interchange. I have had the odd occasion where they have wandered along its shaft causing jams and the odd SC code should it foul the junction gate. They should be central to the cut out in the paper guide plate.

      Ricoh says...

      [Cause]
Harness and pulley are interfering inside the duplex unit, causing the drive to lock when making duplex copies.
      [Action]
Remove interference between harness and pulley.

      and...

Duplex entrance sensor does not turn off after 2nd pass - check sensor with SP 5-803-78, clean or replace as needed
Don't take that toner with me!

There are also a few one-way-gears in the duplex unit which could be the cause when they are dirty.
