    e-studio 450 w/mj-1023 finisher folding copies @ the exit

    I have an e-studio 450 and intermittently as the paper exits into the upper tray it folds the corner on the front frame side. I have been a tech for some time and know to look for torn or folded mylars, guides out of wack and etc. I am not seeing anything obvious. Any ideas? The height of the finisher looks to be okay. This started about a week ago. The corner is folded, but NOT creased. It is happening between post fuser and paper exit.

      Find some stick on mylars and put them on the bridge unit at the entrance to the finisher and verify the finisher height adjustment.
      And Star Trek was just a tv show...yeah right!

          Run the job from the bypass tray...if the folding does not occur, you have a zoning problem with one of the trays. You can also unplug the finisher to have all copies exit under the bridge and at least rule out a problem with the fuser section. Emujo
