pro 65 "copier not available" error

power up then as soon a control panel user mode pops up error meesage "copier not available" come up with suggestion to power up/down or call service. Power up/down does nothing.

I noticed fault 6-315 in web ui for machine; that points to scannner issue of some kind

any quick tips? I put a new drum and fuser module in unit too.

6-315 is ROS (laser) related code
mean that ros poligon motor can not reach or maintain simmer speed

I got a 460 parts machine here where is the laser motor? under the scanner I would assume probably a real pain in the neck to get to

or can I teak the speed in service mode?

You have to replace ROS assembly (laser unit).
ROS unit is under developer assembly.
But you need laptop with xerox pws software to adjust laser data after replace ROS.

ros replace - actually it is 6-515 code

6-515 17-17 The printer has detected one or more Raster Output Scanner (ROS) faults that cannot be cleared. A machine Power Off/Power On may help, Xerox service is required if the problem persists. Printing has stopped.

6-515 is not a fault code it is just system message.

have to check in "faults" for real fault code
(it will be some code for ROS)
then work with real fault code

I don't have the service book

so I do not know the fault that leads to 6-515 sys fault

do you know how to get into service mode? Maybe I can do a reset or something in there?

on this machine you can not enter in diagnostic mode without laptop and xerox software.

6-515 is gone

I checked the dv unit put it back cleaned rollers and hooked everything back up

the error codes have gone away in web ui display

now, I go all the way to normal display at power up and in faults under machine status it says "printer falult, call for service"

and, of course, "copier not available" on the display.

I am running xeroxgraphic sys routine now

maybe that will clear up the printer fault

will check status codes in tools/faults to see if any can lead to rap procedure

on right side of touch panel have three gray buttons,
press the lower one and go to faults tab.

there you should see real fault code

question - paper feed rollers are marked end of life in consumables, but I looked at them, cleaned them w/alcohol, they look perfect not worn - how can I reset feed rollers counter? Do I need the software/laptop?

but machine can work even they are 0 days left.

which fault code you have?
check that on fault tab.

withou fault code i can not help you much.
