    [Misc] XM3250 ADF multifeeding

Starting to see these doc feeders multifeed the last 3 or 4 pages all at once. Never the first pages, just the last 3 or 4. It's almost becoming a trend. What concerns me is that alot of them have less than 10k. Lexmark support has no advice except to change adf feed and sep rollers. I've tried a little more pressure on sep roller, but putting in new rollers has been the only option so far. Am I the only one seeing this ?

haven't seen it myself, but is the issue fixed if you replace the recommended rollers? or does it keep multi-feeding with new rollers as well? are you getting a jam code? if so what's the code?

I've had this problem on quite a few of these machines pretty much straight out the box, in some cases we've had to change to another model as the ADF was constantly multi feeding and jamming even with new rollers.

Decent machines printing wise but when it comes to scanning I find them pretty useless. There is a bulletin about changing the top cover because sometimes it pops open and causes jams, not sure if this is related to multi feeding though.

The ADF seems to be a weak spot in most of the Lexmark machines.

Theoretically you would want to decrease the spring pressure on a separation roller. You'd want to increase the spring pressure on a separation pad. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
          1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
          2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
          3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
          4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
          5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I've had the same issue on this series. I did a warranty claim on the sep roller and the replacement part Lexmark shipped me was different. Unfortunately, I didn't keep the old roller assembly so I can't remember what was changed except that it was related to the sheet/pad that rests just before the roller. Since I replaced the sep roller assembly I haven't had an issue.
Why does every customer think they're the first one to ever say: "you've been here so much we should get you an office, ha, ha, ha"?

They added a spacer under the sep pad before the roller to push the pad up more.
Where the heck is my spring hook?

I too have this issue, did the warranty and the sep roller they sent to me had a small 2 stamped on the back, worked good for 3 devices, now warranty is up but many more to go. I will try adding a spacer and let you all know how it goes.
