    Bizhub c308 DF-629 Line

We have a client with a DF-629 that is making a line all the way down the document in the feed direction on the NON OP side of the document when scan to copy. Off the glass is fine, prints are fine. Can't find a solution on the konica site for this nor in any documentation.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks!

          NON OP side

          what does that mean?
We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.
          The medication helps though...

              I would guess OP=operation panel.
I would start by redoing ADF setup adjustments.

Does it appear on the lightest exposure setting with ADF, or with darkest setting off glass? Tried adjusting the read position, where the scanning takes place?

Does it appear only while using the DF? You can also manually feed a piece of paper through the DF while it's open, maybe the paper is catching something and pushing it through. On very rare occasions I have seen dirty optics, something on the mirrors themselves, cause lines like the typical scan lines due to a dirty scan slit glass. The biggest tell is if the line goes all the way edge to edge or if there's a deletion at the edges, if there's a deletion then it's optics.

Only way I can get rid of. It was to go into service mode under machine/scan area and make the adjustment there.

So just to be clear did that adjustment fix issue permanently? I've never seen that and want to make sure so I know the fix if I ever see it.

                            Thanks
