Re: c3320 reboots every 30 min like clockwork
I had a c3320i that was doing this recently. Eventually it locked up on the boot up screen. Ended up being a corrupt/bad microSD card. Chicken and the egg, though. Not sure if the rebooting corrupted the card of if a corrupt card was causing the reboots. Good luck. These machines are..... problematic.Comment

Re: c3320 reboots every 30 min like clockwork
please run full self diagnostics from service mode, maybe it will help narrow down the point of failure? We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.

Unfortunately self diagnostic or boot issues firmware never worked for me. I series are so simple, you have CPUB and SSDB/flash card. It's one of them 100% depending on symptoms. Some experience, common sense and knowledge how machine functions help as well.A tree is known by its fruit, a man by his deeds. Re: c3320 reboots every 30 min like clockwork
a few of the i series that have crazy weirdness seem to be fixed by a new CPU board or storage board, i totally agree there.
i just dont like the shotgun approach and just throw a board on it, i like when something else tells me its likely that part
a couple times ive had newer machines do weird stuff and reboot or the panel is locked or some rando fuser code when idle, turns out both times they had a new HVAC unit installed and the draw is more than the previous one and i saw the lights dim slightly and the copier had a conniption fit.
thats why i ask to check wall voltage and neutral to ground.
with all the new machines using 3.3v and any voltage on the neutral ground can piss off the copier especially during a surge/sag event. We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.

Hey Synt, quote you was respectful...and unnecessary. 100% you are correct I just skipped zillion of steps done in between before boards. I'm the last one who will throw new parts in machine for troubleshooting problem.A tree is known by its fruit, a man by his deeds. Not one thing i said was directed at anyone at all, just my experiences and work ethic.
If it seemed to infer anyone other than myself I assure you it was unintentional.
My apologies if that's how it came across. We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.
