Why it matters: By announcing a COVID task force even before unveiling his senior White House staff or a single cabinet appointment, Biden is signaling that addressing the coronavirus will be the immediate priority for his transition, and then his potential administration.

That's great. When can I expect the Covid numbers to come down to the level of New Zealand? What do you think, about 8 moths after Biden takes office? Don't want to hear any excuses.

If you want to look at the most recent reliable international numbers there are 9 other countries with the same or more new deaths in the last 24 that the USA. Only one of them, India, has a larger population. The rest have less than half the population of the USA. Four of them, Mexico, Italy, Iran and the UK have more than double the number. The Demoncraps do not want to talk comparable number like percentages of population. They lose every time they do.

1. Control of the Senate has not been secured by either the Republicans nor Democrats yet. Not until a runoff election in Georgia in Jan 2021

2. McConnell is getting old 78 and showing some health issues, He may not last four more years.

3. President Biden can accomplish much of what he needs by Executive Order.

4. President Biden can accomplish much of what he needs by putting qualified, experienced scientific people in place.

5. Biden will have the support of 60% of the American people. Another 20% will eventually recognize that the Trump propaganda machine is all baloney and will tune out what remains of it.

6. Biden will work with all State governors to make wearing face masks mandatory.

7. Hopefully a FDA approved vaccine and therapeutics will arrive in 2021.

8. There will be no more Trump COVID-19 rallies. These super-spreader events were estimated to infect over 18,000 people this year with 18 deaths.

9. Most Americans as they begin to drift away from daily politics back to their normal lives, will accept Joe Biden as President and accept him. Respect for the office and patriotism will put Trump into the past.
