Sorry Mr Fred, missed me as well. I know its Monday morning and I'm a bit slow to get started but all I can see is "MGA Y" Drove a MGB for a lot of years but still can't see anything funny. If its a gay joke it's a bit thin.

            Nope.
            Still not getting it.

Maybe I'm stupid. Maybe it's just not funny.
You're gonna have to point out the latter, but I'll gladly admit to the former.

                  Re: Joke of the Day

I was eating breakfast with my 10 year old granddaughter when I asked her, "What holiday do we have in February, other than Valentine's Day?"

She said, "That would be President's Day! "

She is a smart girl. I asked, "What does President's Day mean?" I was waiting for something about Washington or Lincoln.

She replied, "President's Day is when President Obama steps outside the White House, and if he sees his shadow, we have three more years of bull shit!"

You know, it hurts when hot coffee spurts out your nose!

Well yes, I would expect a dev unit that comes from the factory loaded with yellow dev to have a Y in barcode label.

Still not sure I'm getting the point here but I prefer NeoMatrix explanation that he PM'ed me that points out the irony.

Would have just let this one go but since I have yet another two of these dev units on my desk waiting for me to lodge warranty claims on them I'm getting desperate for a laugh.

                      The Y stands for yellow...
Is it funny because it has no yellow toner in it at all? It has black toner?

I think I might understand, but because it wasn't humorous for me, I feel that I don't understand. Worst feeling.

What threw me was that it does show yellow at the end of the unit and under the seal. I didn't pay any attention to the mag roller. Of course it did have yellow in it at on time because that is the color they use for testing during manufacturing.

Not knowing Ricoh products, I never thought the mag roller was showing what the carrier/toner was actually. It just seemed the roller was 'black' colored to me.
So, remind me when I don't know a manufacturer, to just STFU.
