Yet another Nor'easter. 8 inches of snow so far, 20F (-5C), winds gusting to 40 mph, wood stove cooking away, coffee in my mug, work delayed 'til noon. Snowthrower is standing by, but I may just shovel out the walkway and my work car as the snow is pretty light. The power hasn't even flickered thus far (it's the heavy, wet snow that usually takes out the power). Forecasting bitter cold tonight and tomorrow......... Have the scanner on, the snow removal guys are frustrated by the blowing, drifting snow, and the PD is busy with home alarms and morons on the roadways. FD is quiet.....

Re: Waiting Out The Storm.....
Sounds like you have everything under control.
I'm just riding the couch. It's a great time to just take it easy. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I read all you 'Muricans complain about the "cold" and "snow" and it makes me laugh. Come to Canada and learn what real cold is like.
You don't know cold until your mustache and nose hairs all freeze within 10 seconds of walking outside, when a brisk walk in all the clothing required to survive in the cold will make you sweat and have your sweat instantly freeze; a very bizarre feeling actually.Cthulhu for president! Re: Waiting Out The Storm.....
Coming from a northern environment we find it amusing the way a winter storm causes so much problems. I guess when winter is the norm we are prepared and know how to deal with it. Anything over 0 deg. and we complain about the heat wave. What we consider comfortable is a couple of feet of snow on the ground and -10 to -20. I hope you all stay safe and weather the storm.Comment

Re: Waiting Out The Storm.....
It's been really cold here today, it got to a high of 10C (that's 50F for all you that haven't discovered decimalization yet)
Us British really shouldn't complain too much about our weather, sure, it doesn't get very hot in the summer, but we really don't have bad winters eitherThere are 10 types of people in this world, those who understand binary maths and those who don'tComment

Re: Waiting Out The Storm.....
Its the second heatwave to hit Brizzie in a fortnight. Try to park the car in the shade, set the air con to "freezeyatitsoff" and give it 5 min to cool the inside of car down enough so you can grip the steering wheel. Remember not to leave toner or dev inside your car or it will set solid. Double dose of deodorant and plenty of talc in the undies or you get a sweat rash around the family jewels. The only thing enjoyable about 40 deg and 90% humidity is the amount of beer I get to drink. At least 50% of IT is a solution looking for a problem.Comment

Re: Waiting Out The Storm.....
We had our annual blizzard last night. I would have had to drive 12 miles north to see it snow for 20 minutes and melt when it hit the ground. 4 hours before it snowed the temp was 65 degrees. Winter should be over now. It's been a rough one this year. I had to wear gloves one day.The greatest enemy of knowledge isn't ignorance, it is the illusion of knowledge. Stephen HawkingComment
