Finally my state got it's groove back. About 4 hours after the last flake hit the ground, half of everything that took 2 days to fall from the sky, was melted. You know you are old when you are excited to go back to work. Should be in the 50's for a while.

Jesus here in Ireland we got maybe 3 - cm of snow and everything closes own. No for rain we get so much I have grown webs between my toes like a duck.
Had some severe weather yesterday winds so strong the blew roofs off houses.

Now I'm going to complain about this bloody rain, I just had to do a call on a building site, I'm drenched through to the skin, and I look so attractive with my hair stuck to my head and mascara running down my cheeks lol

Sure, there's a bunch of bumps and warts and crap we need to get after in the grand scheme of things. But I'd guess Akitu is more looking for stuff like out here in my portion of the periphery the first person out with a snowblower clears the full sidewalk on our side of the block after a few inches of snow. At least that's what I interpret the common courtesy thing to mean.
          Sorry if I'm wrong.
You hit the nail on the head Iowatech. That's the kind of stuff I'd be more interested in hearing about than everything I'm currently getting. Hah

Had a small winter storm go through Charlotte. No big deal for me. Others thought it was the end times. I waited the storm out inside. I converted my dishwasher into a snowblower. I gave her a shovel.

Heh, got a couple of inches of snow today, and as I anticipated a lazy attack tomorrow I went out tonight to push it out of the way. While I was out there, someone backed their pickup over the ridge of snow on the side of the street and got stuck (man, if I had a dollar for every time I got stuck like that, I could buy a twelve pack) blocking the entire street. So I helped push them out. There was no weight in the back of the truck, otherwise they would have been fine.
I used to have a few seventy pound tubes of sand but I don't need them anymore, I should see if I still have any in case something like this happens again.

Bush fires in Victoria and drought in Queensland, wouldn't mind a bit of mud making rain right now.

I'd send you the six inches of snow we got yesterday if I could, and in the form it came in too, two inches of snow an hour.
It took me two hours to drive thirty two miles on a four lane highway then. But that's my fault, you'd think by now I'd expect a harrowing journey when I choose to drive through the heart of a storm. Spent the evening clearing my driveway, the snowplow pile from an older neighbor's driveway and the lanes at an acreage out in the country.

There's a bushfire burning down in Vic that I know about - A mate I met online said his property is surrounded (the closest of the fire around 10k's away) and has 98+ vehicles attending it. It's out of control down there. Let's hope itdoesn't get as bad as the Black Saturday bush-fires.
