This is not something I would ordinarily do as I am not religious, but both of my parents are.
My dad is having a big operation on Wednesday, the procedure is likely to last 5-6 hours, he is 76 years old and has previously had 4 heart attacks, so falls into a high risk category. I know he would appreciate any prayers that you can offer up to him, and if, like me, you don't believe in God, then sending positive thoughts this way would be great. Thanks
Father,
I thank you for Deb and her parents, thank you for the life you have given them and for the healings you have seen them through in the past. Father, I ask for your will and your grace in this time of need again. Father God, wrap your love around the entire family, see them through this as you have in the past and let them see your love.... In Jesus precious name I pray, AMEN
Hi Debs, just saw this post, better late than never to pass along best wishes and positive thoughts. Hope things go well for your Dad, speedy recovery to him and a good nights sleep to you and the rest of the family!
There has been a mix up with dates at the hospital, we now have to wait until Thursday, so another 24 hours of worrying on top, but at least it's not too long to wait.
Thank you all for your kind thoughts and prayers, I told my dad how many people, from all over the world, were praying for him and he was very touched
There are 10 types of people in this world, those who understand binary maths and those who don't
Hi Debs,
I'm not one to waste my time praying to non existent deities but I do wish your Dad well. He looks a very genial chap and I'm sure is adored by his children and grandchildren.
At least 50% of IT is a solution looking for a problem.

I thought I'd share another picture with you all, this is how my parent's celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary, this was when my dad first got ill, he has been in severe pain, constantly for over 18 months now, but you can see the difference in a year for him, he's a strong old bugger and I hope that the pictures from their 51st anniversary will show him even stronger still after the op he's due this week
We are all still praying for you and your parents. We will keep you in our hearts. Blackcat has my gmail address if you need someone to email to late at night. I am usually on the computer until about 11PM California time, I think that's about 7 AM London time.

Just seen this Debs, lots of prayers for your Dad. We do wish him a succesful operation and a quick full recovery. For us who believe in the Almighty God do know that prayers made in faith can move mountains. The doctors \ surgeons treat BUT it's God who heals.
