Mum is holding up OK, she was totally exhausted, but I'll be surprised if she slept last night even after seeing him and knowing he's OK. The past 18 months have been really hard for all of us, but I'm sure she's felt it most of all, they have been married for 50 years. I can't wait to get back to the hospital this afternoon to see him again, I just hope he's not in too much pain, but I know he will cope with the pain, especially as he knows that this will be the beginning of being able to live a painfree life again, something he hasn't known for so long
Thanks for the update. May you all come out of all these trials a lot stronger.

Congratulations Debs. This must be a great relief to you. You're a good daughter. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
Very glad to hear everything is ok. This made my start of the week a good one. You are a good daughter, taking care of your parents. Remember, care givers need rest to.
Update on dad.
He is still in ICU, but they have taken some of the monitoring equipment off him. For the first time in a week I think I can smile, dad appears to have turned a corner, yesterday he had taken a step backwards and I was beginning to think the worst. Today he was awake for my entire visit and was chatty and laughing, and his pain was at a manageable level. He got stroppy with the doctors and nurses last night, he was trying to fight them and pulled the tube that goes into his stomach out of his nose because he didn't want it there lol, they put another in, and tied it in place so he can't pull it out again but they realise it's the morphine that's making him like that. Thank you to everyone who has been keeping him in their thoughts, please keep your positive thoughts coming, he still needs them, but they are obviously working so far.
Have I mentioned how much I love my daddy
There are 10 types of people in this world, those who understand binary maths and those who don't
Glad to hear good news. Your last sentence in the recent post made me smile. I think its obvious you love your daddy and he is lucky to have a daughter like you. About dads being in the hospital and sometimes doing things they shouldn't. My dad was in the hospital years ago with a heart issue. They had him all wired up and medicated. Keep in mind this was a military hospital. Well, he decided he wanted to sit up and read. The bed was a manual bed. No buttons to push to raise the bed. He gets out of bed and started cranking the handle at the end of the bed. Within seconds here they came running in there because he set off the monitors when his heart rate went up. He told me he has never had a Sargent talk to him they was she did in all his career. I reminded him that in hospital there is no rank.
Thanks Debs for the update and the successful operation done on the old man. Definitely our thoughts are still with you, and we shall continue to pray for the speedy recovery of your Dad. But we must first thank GOD for the successful surgery and then ask Him for more things, that is now, a quick recovery from the wounds and effect of the surgery. Prayers and thanksgiving never ceases, its a continual process.
Tube through the nose. Really uncomfortable . I would try to yank that out also. I,ve just been sitting on my a$$ for the last week after my hip replacement. I have drugs to ease pain. But tubes in the nose. Darn. Not fun at all. Debs, hope you tell him he has friends from all over the world wishing him well. Tell him Mr. Bill from Washington State said hello.

{ You MIGHT have mentioned that you Love your Dad ! }
I also had a NOSE HOSE while in the hospital , and if I could have ... I would have pulled mine out as well .
Thanks for the up-date .... and tell your dad that ( as Mr B said ) folks all over the world are wishing him well .
Blackcat , Paul , Mr B , and your dad , all deserve a round of applause to be able to get through their medical problems .
"The Serenity Prayer" . . . God grant me the serenity to accept stupid people , the courage to not waste my time and energy on them , and the wisdom to know that I cannot fix STUPID .
