        Hands down!!!!!!

Any and all of the digital 35-45 a minute by Ricoh and they may say Lanier Gestetner or Savin as well. They still shine in their crapulence. They literally spew toner into the air and are very very uneconomical with toner.

The toner hopper used to lose the mylars to feed the toner and that would make a glorious mess. I've seen the devloper go bad and overtone to the point of ridiculousness.

Glad I am away from them.

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
                1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
                2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
                3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
                4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
                5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Those things are my bread and butter unfortunately.

There is quite a lot of variance though, you do get the odd good one that keeps itself pretty clean. It depends very much on the end user and whether the techs have kept an eye on the condition of the pcu and dev unit entrance seals.

There's a couple on my patch where the end users have an annoying habit of taking out the inner bung of the toner bottle and running it until toner is literally everywhere. They only usually call when the toner has reached the exhaust fans and is turing their lovely white/magnolia painted walls a distinct shade of charcoal.

The mylar thing is very common, I stick 'em back on with epoxy. It's damn messy stripping the toner hopper but once they're epoxyed on there ain't nothing gonna get them off again.

The earlier Ricoh 350/450s were even worse than the 1035's, they spilled more toner, were less reliable and even when everything was running pretty much ok the copy quality was still crap!!

Still get the odd one every now and again, not so many though thankfully! there's one at a local car dealership that's the bane of my life.

                          Ricoh 4700

Ricoh ended up buying all of them back from the dealers in 1985.

This one was a few years back, but Canon made one call NP2015. No one ever could get the black line down the left margin to go away. even the Canon tech rep.

                              Which copier was the worst?

The ricoh aficio 1224. Oh my god. They had to bring out tech bulletins to fix the previuos tech bulletins! They had more bulletins than Pathe News during World War II!!
