Maybe we should do a thread in RREE about local favourite foods? What do you think Pete?

I also feel that a lot of dealerships do not emphasize training and hire "bodies" instead of "brains". A well-trained tech is worth 10 part chasers any day of the week. I also see this trend in posts with "technicians" asking how to get into service mode and such. There are just not as many of us left anymore and if dealerships want to stay afloat, they need to train the next generations of techs themselves. Hired an apprentice a few weeks back and this kid is a rock star; smart, inquisitive all the things a good tech should be. In this aspect, I still see hope for the future.
As to the forums, I just ignore the stupidity (unless I choose to be stupid), but it does sucks that they show in the Todays Posts.

Like I previously posted most dealers & OEM's are hiring IT people and "trying" to make them field technicians. Problem is "most" of them quit as soon as they get their hands dirty
As for members here asking how to get into service modes, etc. probably most of the time they are end users pretending to be techs. Or they are a tech working on a model that isn't their usual brand.

The scenery on the A82 up past Loch Lomond to Glencoe is absolutely stunning, we have good scenery down here but nothing like that.

We've had 5 or 6 holidays in Scotland and I always make a point of not using the big major roads where possible so you can see the beauty of inner Scotland, doing that enabled us to stumble upon many interesting places and things like the stone/memorial/plaque that marks the centre of Scotland.

Haggis.... I eat liver and kidney but that is as I have gone. Need to go where its made right who knows. I am not much of a drinker but if you put a Kilkenny in front of me i will not argue.

I can vouch for your pasties being the best though, I am one of those people that invade during the summer! Such a beautiful part of the UK and the people are so nice. Love a cream tea as well.

The roads are another level though. Straight off the A30 onto a single track road with hedgerows 10M tall on either side, blind corners then you meet a 40ft Articulated Lorry trying to reverse into the smallest farm entrance ever.

    Good times!

Cornwall is actually a Duchy, which is what differs us from the rest of the UK, I'm not going to say England, as far as I and just about every true Cornishman is concerned, Cornwall is NOT part of England, and never has been biggrin.png. We refer to holidaymakers as "Emmetts" derived from the way Cornish people pronounced the old english word "aemete", from which the modern english word, "ant" derives from, because in the summer, the holiday makers swarm into Cornwall like ants
