in km fw on thing I'm finding is G00-n5 & n4 -where should I be looking. Does any one have the pre 2019 fw for c250/c300/c360i. It's a 2021 mfr but maybe it doesn't like the newer fw

If you have access to the US Konica website, it's found in the "Special Firmware" tab with a release date of 04-18-2022.

Did the boot rom update, partition clear procedure and tried to load firmware, still no go on 2 different ssd's. I think I may be using the wrong firmware. I downloaded fw_aa2j0y0-f000-g00-n4.exe & n5.exe from km fw tab. Is this the correct fw? I'm seeing others talk about .18 fw but I can't find it anywhere. can anyone pm a link to it

So here's my update as the OP.
After months of back n fourth, the clients insurance wrote-off the device and is covering for replacement.
We haven't gotten any models similar to use parts from for testing and the insurance will probably collect the faulty device to be discarded of so i haven't really come down to the bottom of this issue.
What i can say is, I've already attempted all of the suggestion suplied by you guys with no change to the outcome. That device still switches on into the boot screen stuck on 25% and just stays there no matter what i do.
So thanks to all for giving feedback and suggestions, really much appreciated.

I've just looked into the history of this device and chatted to one of the techs and found that after setting it up a few years ago they delivered to the client and got a white pixilated/fuzzy type screen on startup and the techs unplugged the screen display port and plugged it back in again. This issue was reported twice in its life at the client and some how i wasn't made aware of it... Could be related not entirely sure, just throwing it into the mix.

Hey, did you ever replace the CPU?
I had a 450i that was doing this, I had replaced the storege board, but that didnt fix till I replace the CPU.

Hi Mitch, no. Didn't have a donor machine from that range to take one from for testing and don't foresee one coming in before the dead machine leaves with insurance. I'm pretty confident that the CPUB will resolve this issue.

Well gang, I'm about to put this baby to bed but have a question on wiping the ssd. Got an adapter and connected to computer. Computer shows 3 different drives F,G & H, I imagine the ssd has 3 partitions. Should I wipe the whole ssd or just by partition?

when reusing a hdd i wipe all the partitions, create one and dont format it.
the copier will do the rest when installed and formatted in the copier.

neither, i just said do not format it. the copier does it.

when reinstalled you will get an error to input encryption or format. just format.
when done reboot and reinstall movie and pdf data.

Had a C3350i that was freezing after just a couple of minutes, gave the storage board to one of our IT chaps, asked him to reformat it, he replaced installed it into his laptop, in place of his storage board, and reformatted it to NTFS, reinstalled it in the C3350i, installed boot rom, then FW, copier then displayed that board had been replaced did i want to recover data, said yes, apart from having to reinstall PDF/A it worked, didn't have to reformat it when reinstalled in copier

update in my case. I used the diagnostic tool again and it has now diagnosed the CPUB as an error, so I replaced the part and the error was gone.
In my case, the error could also be reproduced beforehand, namely the machine only hung on the control panel if it woke up from standby mode level 2 or was woken up.
Maybe this will help you in a similar situation.

Did any of you get any instructions / procedures to update the storage firmware of a Phison 64-layer SSD (AA2J0Y0-6501-G01-07 -> AA2J0Y0-6501-G01-08)?

I only recently found out that you have to update it in a separate way and simular as the Bootrom update, only then with an "other firmware"button (only available if Phison 64-layer is present)
We replaced a lot of SSD's (if possible with SD card), all Phison 64-layer. Could have prevented that i guess...

Also it is possible to update "Power Control CPU1 and Power Control CPU2"via other firmware, does anyone have any info on that?

i always found on the 8 series when panel seemed laggy a full All Clear resolved it
