[Error Code] All i Series Random Reboots

I've discovered that 4 out of 9 i Series machines (so far) have multiple 0X2201900000000100 codes in the Machine Management List and are rebooting at random times. We have updated firmware to G00-RE and set Bit Switch 159 to Hex 80 and Switch 25 to Hex 40. I fear the CPU's are cooked and turning on the fan now is too little too late. KM says if a large number of these codes are in the MML then replace the CPU Board. We already have a number of these past the 3 Year Warranty and the CPUB is not cheap. Am I the only one with this experience?

It's not much of an issue for us. I'd probably remove cooler and renew the thermal paste (buy a good one like artic silver mx5) ) if I have no chance to claim warranty.

I actually have a C650i randomly restarting as well. I will pull the management list today and see.

          1. Details of Symptom:

The machine reboots at 10 and 40 minutes past the hour and the detail code 0x1FFF(0x2201900000000100) is recorded.

If the machine detects the detail code 0x1FFF(0x2201900000000100), please apply the countermeasure firmware below.
[Countermeasure Firmware of the Occurrence Models]

bizhub 4701i/4700i G00-RD or later version

The machine accesses the SPI-FLASH memory on CPU board at 10 and 40 minutes past the hour.

The MFP may reboot at that timing and the detail code 0x1FFF(0x2201900000000100).

I have had a couple I series with this problem and KM says the CPU board is bad a to load GC4-RB firmware. This will prevent that error code. I was at a customer today with a C550i and the time I was there, it rebooted a couple times. I tried loading that firmware and it did not take it. So I am ordering a CPU board. That makes 4 so far for me.

Make sure you have the correct firmware. There is firmware for machines with or without memory. There was a bulletin a while back telling how to tell the difference by the serial number. But you can have both FW0020 and FW0021 on the root of your usb and the machine will only look at the folder it needs and update firmware. Also with GC4-RB sw25 needs to be at hex 40 to make it function version 2.3

                Special Firmware: GG4-RB
apply this firmware. Supposed to have the fix. I notice after km did the updates through v care plus this has started to happen.

We have had the same issue too. Even after updating to G00-RE. Customer hasn't noticed an issue with the machine but it's logs are full.

Does anyone have a copy of the change log PDF for G00-RD? We didn't get it in our region. If someone could post or send me the "Fixed Issues" section that would be appreciated.

If I helped you out, please give me a thumbs up! It helps my reputation.

which machines where these? i'd presume the c3320i series.
if it is, idk what konica was smoking, but the vents on the back arent aligned (plastic vent holes and metal vent holes)
Its kinda a known issue, and they do overheat

not sure if the c3321i series still overheat, our machines arent old enough.

you _could_ drill holes in the metal, but idk the best solution.

Easier to drill holes in cover to match existing holes . Plus it aligns with the cpu fan that way for more ventilation. I posted about it a while back
