454e and 754e not recognizing USB

Good day all,
I have a 454e and a 754e. They are no longer recognizing any USBs for scanning or printing. At some point before they completely stopped, they were only accepting SanDisk Cruzer Blade USBs. But now, even those are not recognized anymore.

Also, the 454e stopped recognizing finishers before it stopped recognizing USBs. It is giving all the correct voltages, but the finishers just don't boot or seem to be receiving power. However, they work fine on other machines.

I have updated both machines to the latest firmware, tried resetting them, checked all connections and settings, but nothing has worked.

Does anyone have any idea how to make the USBs work? The finisher can wait; it's not important. I just need the USBs to be recognized.

have you tried direct to the "front usb" port on the mfp? just unplug the extension to the front and go direct.

Good advice from Synthohol. It will eliminate a bad cable & port.

Also it may have lost settings in admin mode. Log in to admin and go to USB external settings and turn on all 3 tabs.

This would be my guess. You may have an administrator that like to turn things OFF.

Tried Plugging directly , Did not work.
and I'm the only admin all settings are the same.

funny thing is I bought random Chinese USBs and one of them works at the moment . But after about 2 months it will stop like the others.

I guess I have to move to SMB.

Try the HP format tool on your USB .See attached

Try a transcend 4gb usb. They are the KM recommended for firmware.
