Thanks for heads up. What parts you replacing in fuser drive and what are symptoms for you to start replacing procedure?

Main Symptom is the fuser stop turning😄. It will make noise. The rear shaft eats thru the bushing then the assy frame! The assy frame gets marred but survives. There where the drive engages and disengages by the slit where the transfer door interlocks in you will find greasy bushing dust that some times stops the fuser from engaging after opening the door.

One shaft and 2 bushings. Available to order. I just keep all the drives before machines gets eco dumped.

If the tech seats the fuser back gently and evenly it will help a bunch seat the fuser properly before fixing it down.
Get rid of the fuser AUX cleaning section at 400K. Does well without it. 1.2M yield is a pipe dream. Like mentioned 1M is the upper limit. More like 700K in my experience. Rebuild once get anther 300K from it.
      Whatever

It's been a hot minute but if I remember correctly,,, First indicator is noise. As allan mentioned, the shaft will wear through the bushing on the drive side and sometimes even start wearing into the plate of the drive assemble A79K255600. If the clutches are really dirty we usually replace them at the same time, might as well since you've taken it apart this far.

its possible to replace the shaft and bushings without removing the drive unit.

when rebuilding the old drive unit replace the bushings with roller bearings, they are a bit more noisy but last longer.

Thank you very much for that. One minor correction - part number for item 12 is A161702200 Bushing.

Nope. Its possible to do the clutch with the assy installed on the machine but not the shaft. That is caged in there with C-clips and pins. Accounting for what needs to be done it takes a good 2 hours to complete that service. 55min if the force is with you.

The drive assembly that I had on order has been pushed back a month. Does anyone have a source (in the US) for A79JR71655 ?

                    Thanks again all!

Most likely the fuser drive clutch will be in stock.

I've never replaced the whole fuser drive unit, only the fuser drive clutch inside the drive unit. I've also had success taking the clutch apart and cleaning. I know it's sometimes easier to just replace parts but my old school way of thinking is to get machine working costing the least amount of money. Even did this when I worked for big companies and it wasn't my money!

Are you ordering directly from KM in the US? I just punched the part number into the system and it states that it is available to ship right away. For the hell of it, I bumped that number up to 10, and it stated that 3 were available to ship right away, so KM has at least 3 assemblies in stock in the Midwest warehouse.

As other's have stated though, if it's only the clutch that is bad, I'd just pick up the clutch. Much cheaper in the long run, and way easier to replace without removing the whole drive assembly, which is a bit of a PIA.

We don't have a direct relationship with KM...

There are dozens of companies that sell genuine Kon/Min parts. Precision roller is a little higher prices but can order anything you want. I use ARC in CA.
