Well the issue is coming back again. Still on the black. Very strange.

How many clicks on the developing unit?
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Is the current genuine toner cartridge nearly full? The previous toner cartridge may not have been genuine, and it could take some time to consume the non-genuine toner in the toner feed system.

If you run heavy black fill images it may get worse, then better.

The toner bottle was nearly empty so I replaced it with a fresh one. I've only been using original toner. However, they ordered the 619 toners on accident and once the 620 bottles got too low they just told me to transfer the 619 toners into the empty 620 bottles. They said it would be alright but now that this is showing up I wonder if that's not the case. The 619 is for the 3080P while the 620 for the 3070L. Maybe they are different enough to be causing the issue?

I can't say if they're the same or not. I can say that it looks like a toner issue ... especially if a developer change cleared it up until it started adding toner again

I'll run some heavy black fill images through the machine and see if it changes.

They use the same MSDS sheet for both toners, so I'd have to say they are likely identical.

To add to this, a bulletin was just released that states Konica will be discontinuing both the of those toners (TN619K and TN620K) as well as the DV614K developer. They are offering a substitution for them, however. This applies to the US for sure, not sure about other countries. They are doing this in order to comply with US Environmental Regulation Prop 65. See attached bulletin for details.

yeah they are making it with less carbon black . This is probably going to effect the black density . How much only time will tell but this isn't only going to effect KM machines, This is going to effect the entire industry . I've been told that the printing industry has lobbyist trying to fight this. not sure if they will have any luck

So the drum was changed. The dev unit was also swapped out from a different machine. And the issue is still there. The tech that came by said he thought the dev looked overtoned.
