Re: Konica c224 e can't access service mode
Everything seems to be ok.
Reset code for your machine below.
The Reset Code process is complete. MFP Serial Number A5C4011111753 Reset Code S87AX-HW2QV-D92QS-A66X2-JQAGW-GG8YD-EMRQG-EYDPX
Now, go again to your Input password screen, touch [Stop]->[C] and there should be a button [Reset Code Input] on your CE Password Reset screen.

how You format HDD if you don't know your CE password? buy new hdd then use initialization tool. after make a procedure from service manual and ce pass will be reset to default.

Re: Konica c224 e can't access service mode
You can reset the Service Mode Password and Admin Panel Password to default using a special "firmware" called A145FW.TAR
I am not sure if i am allowed to post the file here so i can offer you to send me a email and i'll reply with the file and detailed instructions.
Or someone experienced on this forum tells me i can post this public.
I just saw your thread I wanted to see if you can send me that file A145FW.tar so I can reset my password on my copierComment

> I believe only Konica can use that information and even protech support doesn't fully understand how its decrypted, only that is has embedded SN and some other info
Yeah, that's right, however I heard that someone broke the encryption 2 or 3 years ago. For me it wasn't worth time and effort, the easier way was "to get where I shouldn't".
Hello I called Konica and they wouldn't give me the reset code they want to send a tech out could you help me with the reset i followed your steps and I got unable to confirm.
Here is the exact readout
serial # A5C4011008084
mac address 00:20:6b:8b:92:89
code k2v8z-nq7q9-raalp-ebn6b-byr6v-9g8yd-emrqh-ezdbf

Re: Konica c224 e can't access service mode
[in the past you could glitch past password.
I removed a fax kit then remembered i hadnt disabled in first so went to do that.
Just as i was about to enter code the error for fax kit popped up. I just pressed the menu button and i was just magically was in no password.
Ive also done it by unplugging the sensor wire for fuser unit. You will still not know password but you can just turn off CE authenticationComment
