I was just wondering after i saw a few people complaininga bout certain machines or techs who had problems with the same machines over and ver again:

Which Machines do you not like at all and would you like to remove / replace as soon as you have the chance?

I guess top 5 is the C3350i

3 most awful to work on were the royal 110,rbc1,and the 2020!, another nightmare the color7. compared to these the newer machines are easy, got to grin when i hear techs complaining about them.

i actually meant more recent machines, say something 2010 and younger

A4 KM models/derivatives. Every single A4 bizhub I worked on is worse than worst A3 bizhub I ever touched.

Going back a long time, for me the analog Minolta EP-4230 was the most idiotic construction. The development was done in the beginning by a German factory near Stuttgart called Develop. When Minolta acquired Develop they inherited the rotten design and were trying to improve it be redesigning it for over a year in Japan by using parts from the EP-4300. The result was still clunky. Replacing the paper feed rollers not alone was a nightmare. Customer could not remove himself, certain simple paper jams. A technician had to go there, removing guides and other stuff to reach the paper jam.

Agreed, I only have one C3350i here and it's a pile of crap. Already needs new memory or MFP board. C8000 always makes me cringe as well.

Anything muratec... C25 is the worst.
And anything running ink.

In that case the entire I series machines. flakey, and untested before release.

It's another variation on Kyocera CF248 errors. Anything from a single document, a print driver setting, a browser based application, a firmware level, or non-print data can cause those errors. =^..^=

I think the c3850 is worse than the c3851. So far I've had no touch screens go bad with the c3851. A bunch with the c3850. They are 500 new and unavailable. I've had to turn several into parts machines because I needed the screen

My fix for the the Bizhub A4 tragedy. Here have a C360 its for free. Don't have space? No problem it works just fine under a tree.
