I would be very surprised if that machine has a hard drive installed. We had hundreds of those out in the field and almost none of them had it installed. If it is installed, they can remove it and odds are you would never even know it was missing.A Ricoh Service Tech for 7 year. A Konica Minolta Service Tech for 7 years. We had a lot of those out in the field with faxes, and I don't recall any of them having a hard drive.
🤔 I just looked through the Configuration Guide for the 200/250/350 and in there it indicates the only thing required for faxing is a 32MB memory expansion, which the fax kit comes with. Looking at the HDD (40GB) option in the guide, it states that it is required for Scan-to-HDD, Image Setting functions, and to program up to 5 additional Copy Jobs. It also recommends the 32MB memory expansion be installed to optimize system performance. No mention of a requirement for faxing, so I don't think it was needed for the function.A Ricoh Service Tech for 7 year. A Konica Minolta Service Tech for 7 years. its how i (mis)read the footnote, might have been the 3 series slower machines didnt have a hdd and it was needed for scanning and /or memory faxing because the 40ppm and faster had a hdd from factory.
i cant have lost all my marbles yet?We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.
The medication helps though...👍 1Comment

That's a very good possibility. I know the HDD was optional in the 22 and 28ppm models, standard in the 36 and 42ppm.A Ricoh Service Tech for 7 year. A Konica Minolta Service Tech for 7 years. Now, KM service manager for 4 years.

Most of mine did not have hard drives. I would be very surprised if yours did. Good luck acquiring your baby. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Speaking of fax in that model, we had so many fax issues when VoIP came out.
Wasn't a bad mono model for back then. Ran drum to drum with no calls in between.👍 3Comment
