You see, you really did not understand my post. I never mentioned "Black". I respect them highly for their knowledge and helpfulness. As I said to old to give a S**t about who threw the first comment. Looking for solution. Never to old to learn.

If all else fails read the Service Manual!

If that fails, meet me at the pub and we will discuss it.

Go crawl back in your bottle and sing the songs of the greater days you had.
No worries. I called you out.

      Now brush yourself off.

      Have a better day.

you stated.... They also noted that when this happens, they simply unplug the NIC from the copier and plug it back in, so I did the same and lights came back on from the copier and laptop, but ping responses were still a mess. sounds like more than one nic, an extra was installed on the copier. what happens if you unplug the extra NIC, then run your ping test on the original NIC on the copier, not the extra NIC? there is a lot of reading for this post. did i miss somewhere that you stated you have updated the firmware? is it possible to take a loaner, maybe even just a desktop model to run on their network for a few days? nevermind, after further reading on this moby dick post lol i see someone asked about firmware.
