hello, i have an AR-207 that the reg. is 1 inch off the lead edge. another tech was out yesterday and cleaned the clutch and all was ok. the lead edge does not vary, alway the same 1 inch. any ideas?
thanks for any help.
Worn registration clutch or registration solenoid, 37mm registration early.
Worn drum drive gear, variable registration.
Plastic retaining hooks broke and/or rear transfer grounding spring is missing (usually dropped into the bypass tray), 40mm registration late.
The last is the most common, by far. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
Just an FYI i have had the LFR bushings get gummed up causing the trail edge to be off by about an inch. Double check that it is the lead edge you are having trouble with. if it is the LFR just take out the fuser and clean.
