It jams in the feed section about 1 in every 40-60 pages. All the feed rubber is new. 170k sheets registered in the ADF counter (since new).
It looks like a timing issue...like the belt and the feed rolls are out of sync. Lots of OG_ST (transport jam) and EXT (exit jam) jams in the register. The symptom is a crinkling of the paper and a mis-feed: the paper is pushed all the way through the feeder section, but only partially in to the transport section.
I am really at a loss to figure this one out. I don't think there is a mechanical failure. There is a one-way bearing in the feed rolls but a failure there should result in the opposite effect (I think). Apparently no other one-way bearings. The belt is relatively new.
The only thing left, I think, is to replace the ADF board, but I have to pay for it and it seems like a crap-0shoot. Hytech tech support had no suggestions.
Anybody here experience this trouble before?
Thanks!
Jeff W
