Fuser loose bushes anyone tried Kapton tape?

Probably everyone on here has replaced fusers with good old 6770 6600 errors because the foam bushes degrade and can't be replaced... had one today I just added a few shims of polyimide tape into the bush and it held. Got a few hundred out couldn't see the harm but I couldn't guarantee it would last long term. I'm going back with a new fuser just a mad light bulb moment had some polyimide tape on me from something else less crazy.

The fuser I tried it on the bushes so loose machine didn't even warm up but with tape it worked..

Polyimide tape doesn't melt or set on fire can handle 240c fine.

Anyone else tried? 4052 4053 fk-8550 type fuser I'm thinking.

It's funny that I've never heard of it. It seems like the perfect temporary solution. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I would like to see what you did and how you used it to make the repair. If you could post some pictures, that would be great.

I am generally like self made modifications, but not for the FK units.
Against C6600/ C6770 i prefer to think about U346/ Fuser Power Mode set to OFF or running system with Silent Mode
By using one of them you can prevent these codes in early stage
I have had very good experience with this.

Our company makes sure that every 52 or 53 series Kyocera has silent mode turned ON to extend the life of fusers. Only had 2 or 3 complain about the speed slowing thankfully.
