    I had a customer copy from a color original to make a black and white copy.

    She later complained she had put the black and white copy in the document feeder and asked for a color copy and it came out black and white.

    This was a government worker!

      Just had a repeat of the "Daily Dumb":

      Me: What is the problem you are having with the unit?
      Customer: It just needs cleaning.
      Me: Are you sure there aren't any issues?
      Customer: There are lines all over the page, it bends the corner, and the toner rubs off. I'm sure it just needs cleaning.

          I recall a guy asking for a copy in same situation and obviously I said no. Then like 10mins later this lady asked to do a copy and by this point it was ready to print. Guy looked at me like I let the cute girl copy for obvious reasons and denied him just to be a prick

              Not a comment/question, but had a call regarding prints "appearing green". Drums 150+% life, cyan HT basically clear but the rest are okay. Replaced all 4 drums and problem persists. Couple minutes of diagnosing later turns out the guy had an issue with toner spill on the waste toner bottle and decided to vacuum the entire cyan dev kit.

                Bozo customer

                The prior post reminded me of a customer a few years back.
                They had a Sharp Z835 / Xerox XD100.
                My contact told me "The toner in this clear container was almost empty, so I refilled it."
                I explained to him that he was referring to the waste toner container, and that empty was the optimal state.

                  I had a customer in the 70s that placed a service call for sticky drawers in the lingerie dept. on a register we worked on at the time.

                  That may not count will think of others.

                      Turns out I was wrong. During the power outage she sat her fat ass on the sorter and that's what broke the bins. I found that little detail out from one of the other office workers.

                        Just had one today. Machine is on toner replenishment monitoring. Customer calls and says machine wants cyan toner changed. Yes, we are aware of that and the toner was shipped to you over a week ago by the monitoring software, please check for the package. Short pause while customer is burning her brain cells and checks for package. Customer comes back to phone and says "we only got a tube of cyan toner" "Aren't you supposed to change all 4 colors at once?'


                        DOOOOOOOOOOOOH (head slap)
                        I've proved mathematics wrong. 1 + 1 doesn't always equal 2.........

                            This does happen occasionally ... and it almost makes it worthwhile. =^..^=
                            If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
                            1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
                            2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
                            3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
                            4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
                            5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

                                Customer moved copier from one office to another got everything hooked up (almost) but the fax would error out when trying to send a fax. I walk in see no phone line connected and realize that is the problem. Customer says I thought this cable was all I needed. Nope that was just the network cable.
