    Re: The random thought thread

I had to mow the lawn today, as it was raining yesterday. While I was mowing the front yard, the riding mower threw the drive belt. I know that is going to happen from time to time, but I wish it would only happen in the back yard where there's less of a chance people will see that happen.
Then again, a long time ago a Korean war vet told me to wish in one hand and place the results of digestion in the other and see which hand gets filled first (he was quite a bit less politically correct then I am being here, but there's a fair chance I was in the Reserves then so I didn't mind). So I guess wishing isn't the most productive thing to do.
I really shouldn't complain about the riding mower anyway, as it only cost me $85. My Mom and Dad gave it to me a few years ago as it was old and wrecked, and all I had to do is replace the front axle and steering wheel, and cobble something together to replace the ball joint on the front of the steering arm.
And if you have raspberries, keep an eye on them. The ones I have aren't quite ripe yet, but almost.

All day I was nibbling blackcaps and red raspberries. All wild, and started three days ago. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

My wife text me that the next door neighbors cat had kittens a few weeks ago. I put my foot down and told her there is no way we are taking on another cat, end of story. So, the new kitten is orange and wife named her Venus. End of story.

I see you put your foot down.

You are a wise man. When the wife is happy, everybody is happy. Especially Venus. That cat that's always in the litter box must be Uranus. =^..^=

Granddaughter wanted me to drive all the way up to Stanthorpe so she could see the snow, took a lot of convincing that snow in Qld would amount to about 3 flakes and they would dissolve in 5 minuets.
I remember snow from my childhood in the UK, its wet, cold nasty stuff and I never ever want to see it again.

I lived in Tehachapi many years ago. Went to the store one time a day or two after it had snowed, managed to park my car with the rear tires on the only patches of ice left on the parking lot. Snow, it may be a nice place to visit if you dress warm enough, but I wouldn't want to live there again.
