I remember in boot camp in San Antonia, we had an inspection. We had "spit shined" our brogans, with our faces
reflected in the shine, and by the inspection, the wax had melted. We were granted an exception, and given a couple of 'salt tablets'.

About a year and a half ago, I tipped the scales at around 250. I had severe knee and lower leg pain and no medical insurance. Would come home and collapse on bed feeling worn and exhausted. Doctor was giving me #10 percocets to deal with pain. Took matters into my own hands and stepped on the scales this morning at 195. Haven't had a percocet in about 8 months, and I can walk up a flight of stairs without getting out of breath. I just watched what I eat and quit eating a bunch of crap. Still have a weakness for peanut M&M's.

Excellent, really well done. It's amazing how much better you feel when you're healthier. When I was married to my last husband I got into the habit of eating junk food with him and gained loads of weight, I went up to around 180lb, once he left the weight started dropping off me again, I now tip the scales at about 130lb

There is little or no insulation in the wall between the office where my desk is and the ladies room on the other side of it. What in God's name are you people having for breakfast?!?!?!?!?!?!

Skinny!! watch it Debs, you'll fade away!.

Brought a new pair of pants to take on the Big European Trip last year and after a week of an "all you can eat" cruise down the Rhine couldn't get into them. Must have shrunk in my suitcase. A year later and still struggling to get back under 90Kg, doesn't help that Mrs Lagonda is such an excellent cook. Must really make an effort as we're off on another "all you can eat" cruise in November, this time up the Mekong river. I'll have to ask for a seat belt extension for the flight home.

I don't think your clothes shrunk, it's down to a little thing called calories

Millions of tons of dust from space fall on the Earth every year, which increases the Earth's gravitational pull. That's one reason to blame for weight increases.
Well, maybe not a very good reason I guess. But a reason none the less.
With apologies to Dave Barry, as he thought that up.

You may mot be skinny, but you sure were able to fit into that black party dress last year. Looked very nice in it.

As for weight loss, it is amazing what just cutting out unnecessary sugar from your daily diet can do. April of last year I went to the doctor for a regular checkup. My weight was at 312, normally had been in the 260-280 range, and my blood sugar was 106, it had never been above the 80's before. Prior to then I usually had 2-3 44 ounce soft drinks, sugar sweetened, a day plus other junk food. Went to drinking water, unsweetened tea and Gator Ade. Over the next 6 months I lost about 45 pounds. My feet and legs feel better and it is a lot easier to stand back up after having to get on my knees to work on customer machines.

I don't know if it is fact or not, I have heard that for every pound above your waist, multiply by 5 and that equals the amount of weight /pressure on your knees and feet.

Just remember Debs, despite what the fashion magazines say, men don't really like anorexic women. They're too bony and there's nothing to snuggle up to on a cold night.

Sounds about right to me. I have heard commercials on the radio for weight loss programs saying that every pound of weight lost is 5 pounds of pressure removed from your feet.
