    Trimalleolar

I could have gone quite a bit longer without knowing the meaning of this word.

For those of you that have never come across these syllables, it means that you've broken all three bones in your ankle, and it hurts like hell. I'll be hippety hopping about on crutches for the next 8 weeks, maybe more.

I used to think that I was basically pretty fit. But ambulating around on the left leg just shows that I'm not as fit as I thought.

Ok. Go ahead and ask. I explained it at least 100 times to the clinic staff, then the hospital staff, then the family. I was on an 8 foot ladder, missed a step and took one really big step down six feet. I knew it was bad when my foot was pointing in a distinctly unnatural direction.

I guess that means that I'm grounded. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Ouch!! Sounds very painful. I hope you have plenty of sick leave banked up as it sounds like you are going to spend a lot of time browsing Copytechnet from end to end.

I almost joined you in the A&E ward on the week end with a similar ladder mishap. Fortunately I was on the bottom rung when I missed my footing, unfortunately I had a open 4 litre tin in my hand at the time. Spent the next hour hosing paint off the neighbours fence.

It's a whole lot better since they immobilized the leg. There are still some pinched nerves and blood vessels. I get relief by finding just the right position, for a short time. I got 4 hours straight sleep by pulling up a chair just below bed level. =^..^=

Sorry about your injury. One bright thing though, after eight weeks, you should have better upper body strength.

OUCH!!! Hope you're back on your feet soon x

I am lucky enough to have only ever broken one bone, in my thumb, and boy did I feel stupid having to explain how I did it.
I fell asleep on the sofa watching TV one evening and must have been laying badly one one leg, now when that happens you usually get pins and needles in the leg...no, I had laid on it so long that it was completely dead. When I awoke, at about midnight, I got up to go to the bathroom, and when I put my weight on that leg it completely collapsed beneath me, and I landed on my thumb, I think the word I said sounded like OUCH

Not completely dead, but like they say in the diabetis drug ads " ... like a million bees stinging my foot ... ". It coincides with each beat of my heart. Fortunately when I find just the right position it goes away for awhile. Thanks for all the love and concern folks.
