Hello I did had a couple of problems with my c258 and it came down to yellow developer, since the cost of replacement is big enough and the problem showed up before it even reach 50% of life (78% according to the consumables page), I would prefer to get a newer machine than replace it, so I got a tech to refurbish the one I already had.
This seem to have given me some extra life there as it started printing ALMOST like it used to, the only problem is that I did noticed a light yellow pattern left on everything I print, even on areas that don't have any print on it. I mean I can print A4 size on a SRA3 and the white area (withing the printing area) is covered with light very very small yellow dots.
Barely noticeable but I'm sure I have seen this again in the past and I did fixed it somehow. The thing is the techs are on holidays now and I can't reach anyone to ask.
Any tip on what to try?
I have already done 4-5 gradations, this persists. The drums are all 82% life left, but I have used K ones with the trick to replace the chips and plastic sides. Transfer belt have a bit of damage from some weird stock I used but it too is relatively new at 80%.
Waste toner box is emptied, but I have never replaced it.
Thank you!
