    change strgb konica minolta c250i

is it possible to change the strgb from one konica minolta to another without changing the entire cpub?
I tried but the copier doesn't start
    is there a procedure?
    Thanks

You don't have to replace the CPUB. All you need is to install the latest F.W.
After restarting touch RECOVER DATA and confirm the message YES.
Follow the instructions to turn OFF and ON the machine.
Install movie data, voice data ... as necessary.

You cant take strgb or cpu from one machine and put it on another. once they are put in they are married to that machine with the backup that they do

sorry it seems to me that lately in this forum instead of trying to solve the problems they get complicated. I posted the post I got two answers one opposite of the other.
One took me for someone who doesn't even understand what is written (I understand the translation problems I am someone who translates with the translator as many will do)
but let's start from the fact that what is written in the service manuals we are all able to read (because we are photocopier technicians at least I am) so if someone writes here in my opinion they need information that goes beyond the service manuals or updated firmware...
we all know that the firmware needs to be updated....
they need information that comes from experience....
            sorry for the outburst

You moved SSD/STRG-B from another device, you didn't write from such a model, and what type of disk and for what purpose? I'm guessing you want to check the possibility of using SSD/STRG-B from disassembly. The best thing to do is to upload the Boot ROM with the latest firmware and then upload all the firmware. The data to be restored will be overwritten to the SSD/STRG-B if it is operational. With the help of firmware, you can format the SSD directly on the device.

Yes you can swap a used strgb from one machine to another.

We have tried this, first remove the doner strgb & format it in a USB caddy deleting all partitions.

Then fit to your recipient machine & install as if it were new.

Never fit a strgb & cpub together from a doner machine as a set.

CPU1, CPU2, Boot Rom Firmware Update Procedure

                      #### Preparation:
                      1. Remove the STRGB (storage module) from the device.
                      2. Connect it to a PC directly or via an NVMe adapter.
                      3. Delete all existing partitions from the device where the STRGB was taken.
                      4. Disconnect the STRGB from the PC and install it into the target MFP.
                      5. Download the latest firmware (current version: FW AA7N0Y0-F231-GC2-RF).
                      6. Copy the FW0020 folder (containing the firmware) to the root of a FAT32-formatted USB drive.
                      7. Insert the USB drive into the USB-A port on the side of the device.

                      #### Entering Firmware Update Mode:

Very good and clear procedure, I will only add that if you do not format / delete the partition on the SSD, the device will start but without the ability to log in to administrator and service mode.

Hi, I confirm the procedure described above, and I specify to NEVER mount a CPU or an HDD or a main board from a donor machine if you do not first do a specific procedure.

                          bye

I tried the procedure but when I updated the cpu2 and rebooted the machine started to reboot continuously without being able to do anything else

I seem to remember reading somewhere, that when you replace one of those boards, the device will reboot a few times - also depending on which storage pcb you fit, you may have to update the BOOT ROM
