I just check the records, and it was 18 months and 265K images since the last occurrence. Not as frequent as I imagined. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Did the old transfer belt without the yellow dot correct the problem?

We have a TA7002i and TA8002i with the same issue(black bands).

That's exactly what ours was doing and we replaced the belt with an older style belt and did the bulletin with the mylars. It has done it maybe twice since we did this and never while we are there so we just go clean everything and make sure it looks good.

Interesting enough, both started this after PM Kit was done.

Thanks for the advice. Will try an old transfer belt and keep cleaning😁

Yeah if you still have the old ones put them back in and it should stop it.

I am still battling with this problem on a 9002i on and off for 2.5mil on the counter. every time I replace the maintenance kit, it solves it for a while, then it just returns. I must also add that I also do not feel comfortable with the "new" type transfer belt. Also, the old belts never had problems staying in the center.

Yeah sounds like our issue. It only does it every once in a while and it's impossible to trace down. We've replaced everything like you as well and it still does it sometimes. The only thing that made it almost stop doing it was an older style transfer belt.

You have probably been told this already but I cant see it posted, With the new transfer belts there is an issue with them tracking off centre. in the transfer belt kit you should get some pieces of mylar to stick on the frame and you have to run copies and then check that it is running 10mm each side (if i remember correctly). if it runs to the edge it grounds out causing the line. good luck.

But I had different effect on print before adjusted the skew.

Are you guys still seeing this black band issue ?
I am not finding the transfer belt is pitting a ring around the drum, I think the transfer belt is arcing to the drum, causing drum damage.
You have to look real close at the drum and there is pit marks on the drum.

Kind of looks like high voltage shorting out for a second and we put a new kit in it not too long ago, it did it before and after the kit. I have attached an example of it and paper is traveling in direction of the arrow I put on the sheet, we told the customer it is hard to diagnose if it only does it a few times a week.

I have that exact issue.. belt looked centered to me but I have that pitting on the near edge of print.

Did a new belt fix it? Gonna replace drum/belt then make sure it's centered it looked centered to me.
