What condition is the paper ? damp humid environment will cause faint prints.

Run a duplex copy or print & see if the 2nd side the quality...

Yes been doing this for years without any issues. No need to replace the chip that would do more harm than good....

Check / clean the drum earth contacts especially if this is a high millage machine....

Keep the firmware UpToDate & this issue occurs less often.

Fit an OEM drum & toner, you may also need to change the developer unit becuase it is full of non OEM toner....

Yes you can swap a used strgb from one machine to another.

We have tried this, first remove the doner strgb & format it in a USB caddy...
