I am at the end of my second week attempting to be a tech.

You've got a long row to hoe.
I hope that you've got experienced techs to learn from (including us, of course).

I want you learn a word: "why?" For example, "Why does that fix the problem?".
And: "how?" For example, "How does that simulation function?"
At first it's kind of annoying, but that's the only way you can learn a lot quickly. Show that you're paying attention, and really want to know the answer, and it will become less annoying. Others will respect you for it.

Learn and ALWAYS remember the basic principals. If you return to them you will fix 99% of faults.

Plumbers probably make more money.
Janitors have less stress from clients (most work at night when clients aren't around)

Ive been a tech for over 30 years,but because of not keeping up with the newer equipment I also clean offices at nite(janitor),It can be a strain physically doing office cleaning but At least I can take my time doing it not having to make 3 service calls in the next hour.
