If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I have never stated my beliefs here, so don't act like an evolutionary scientist and create your conclusion first. If in "christian" you mean that I believe Jesus Christ was a real person, then I guess I am a christian. If you think I am a true believer who disregards all else in pursuit of my beliefs then you are sadly mistaken. That sounds more like you. I like to keep an open mind.
When I say "scientist" in this thread, I am not generalizing. I am talking specifically talking about origin and evolutionary scientists. The ones who don't ever have to come up with anything. The greatest enemy of knowledge isn't ignorance, it is the illusion of knowledge. Stephen HawkingComment

If I got under your skin I apologize. No offence intended. I spent my Easter with my very Christian mother in law. When the prayer was said, I remained quiet. When they talked of Jesus i said nothing. The food was great and all had a good visit. I hope all of you had an enjoyable holiday.
It is a little humourous how these evolutionary scientists state their findings as facts when they have no real way of knowing. And the ones who talk about the origin of the universe are even funnier.
By the way, it is agreed by most that Jesus was a real person. It is all the stuff that they say he did that is possibly disputable.Comment

Re: indentured servants my ass.....
One of the biggest reasons not to believe.... None of the Christians seem to take it that seriously.
I can look at the 10 commandments to know this. What are they? The 10 supreme laws of God. And when I have heard theist discuss them, they will tell you each is just as important as the other, so lets look at how well western civilization has honored them.
Thou shalt not covet ...ORD your God. On it you shall not do any work, you, or your son, or your daughter, your male servant, or your female servant, or your livestock, or the sojourner who is within your gates. For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.
And where do you begin on this one. Can any of you explain to me how we, as a Christian nation are keeping this one? Answer... We are not.
Thou shalt not commit adultery...You shall not commit adultery Pretty straight forward. When I look for the number 1 reason Christians get divorced, guess what it is? I don't think I need to go deeper on this one.
Thou shalt not kill... You shall not murder... God gives you a way out on this one because he then repeatedly commands his followers to go and kill others in his name.
Thou shalt not make unto thee any craven image...ORD your God am a jealous God,visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and the fourth generation of those who hate me, but showing steadfast love to thousands of those who love me and keep my commandments. On this one, I can just stick with the "heaven" part and point out all the angels that Christians love to decorate the house with.
Thou shalt have no other Gods before me...Lets see, I thought he was the only one. And how can he be jealous of gods that don't exist. Sounds kind of psycho.
According to Exodus, after Moses smashes the tablets containing the original Ten Commandments, God commands Moses to write a new set of Ten Commandments, known as the Ritual Decalogue, which diverge from the original ten:, And when you read this one, number 10 is finally a commandment that I have never seen broken...The greatest enemy of knowledge isn't ignorance, it is the illusion of knowledge. It is just one way of describing where we came from.
Same as that other story people like to believe. You know the one, it states that we used to be monkeys, however it doesn't reveal why there are still monkeys. It also states that giraffes got long necks because the trees got taller and they had to s t r e t c h to reach their food. lol
Seems to me if I couldn't reach my food in a timely manner I would die. not turn into something else. I know what you are going to say, "it happened over millions of years". Umm, it certainly would take well under that before I, as a species, would be dead because my food supply was out of reach.
Sure, The Ten Commandments, may be a little archaic, but at the time they were written they were cutting edge. Coveting your neighbour`s donkey was a real problem. Today it is meth and guns, then it was coveting. lol

You are forgetting, The Bible was written by men, not God or Jesus. So, it is skewed toward controlling people.

You may be getting the point I am making and not realizing it. And you may be floundering in the dark. You were starting to hold your own then you jumped the shark and told me you really have never looked at evolution, just listened to all the creationist propaganda.
Let me enlighten you...WE DID NOT COME FROM MONKEYS! WE HAD THE SAME ANCESTORS! When trying to have an intelligent discussion with someone and they use that statement, it shows they have never even looked at evolution. You may not understand how ridiculous that question is so let me change it around and you can hear what I do... If motorcycles came from bicycles, why are there still bicycles? or If Canadians and Americans came from Europe, Why are there still Europeans? Sounds silly right? Exactly my point. You seem to be an intelligent person, so don't lose credibility in an argument using that line, do some research on what you will argue is not the truth.
As far as pointing out all the silly crap in the old testament well that is my point. Atheist will stop doing that when the Christians stop using it to push their morals and laws on others, claiming it to be the word of God. If you want to stake the claim that being gay is a sin, then be willing to defend all the other crazy shit that the old testament says. It is all or nothing, you can't cherry pick your morals and just pretend the rest is not there. If the 10 commandments were relevant 2000 years ago, then why do I have to turn on my TV and see creationist trying to push for wasting tax payer money to have them displayed in public buildings.
The Christian religion will die of old age. The old farts who like to take the whole bible literally will kill it. And the reason is that they take all those bible stories as literal translation In an age where information is available at your fingertips it becomes more and more difficult to get children to keep the faith if you are constantly telling outrageous tales. The refusal of the stubborn Christian right to change will seal its fate. They know this, so they make weak attempts to hang on, by pushing for prayer in public schools. All this tells us is that your faith is so weak that you worry that if your child is not drowned in prayers and chants praise for Jesus 24 hours a day, they may think for themselves and you will lose them. The Christian right also trys to hold on through censorship. If they can influence others to bend to their will and not let people think for themselves , they have a better shot at control. I read a forum that atheist go to. There are examples all the time of how that site is blocked from access from schools and other places. Why? Because religons hold on the masses is so weak that even a taste of truth may set them free. The site has almost 2 million subscribers. Last year at this time they were at a million and the subscribers are coming in at a very rapid pace. When you read the postings you find a great deal of them are from teenage kids or collage age kids who are keeping silent until they can get out on their own, based on the other postings from young people who came out to their parents and were thrown out on the street. So there are thousands of homes right now, that when the parents pass on, will end religions hold on that family.
The nice Christians can try to hold on, but the nutjobs are working overtime to crash and burn.
DAG has show to be an intelligent person with very modern view of what was written. If his view were taught, is would lend some credibility to his religion, but he would be in a very small minority in America where the bible tales are taken as written. So for example I am supposed to believe that the whole world was flooded and all were killed and civilization had to start over. Big problem with that. You see I can trace Chinese dynasties back to way before the time of the flood, and some how, according to Christians their whole race was wipe out, and then the descendants of Noah repopulated China with people who look amazingly like the ones who were there before and even managed to learn the same language and writing and art. I can't seem to find a big break in the timeline of any civilization that would account for the world starting over... because it never happened! Dag has an understanding of how these old folk tales were adopted by people to give credibility to their faith, but not many others do. In America the History channel just played a new miniseries on the Bible. As usual all the tales were literal translations of the bible. So once again people had those tall tales reinforced as truth, and those who believe that version will be left scratching their head trying to show a point in history where man just disappeared off the earth.
Hey DAG, Americans just watched a show about the bible that was full of white people. Where in the hell did all those white people come from? Truth be known, if they had used people who look like Jews from the middle east, no one would watch. And go figure, they made the devil look just like our black president. My point in bringing this up to you is that so far you have had the most modern view on the bible stories and I thought it was relevant to show what the Western world is taught about a middle eastern religion.
This is cool...

When you say "Christians" do you mean all religions, except the religion of evolution of course, or are you just singling then out? Because there are many.
Sure, I could scour the internet for articles to help me make my point, but, that is too easy. There are lots to argue both sides I'm sure, so I choose not to read any more of them.
Anyway, I am not "floundering in the dark" and I don't need to be "enlightened". An open mind is not a bad thing, but thanks fot caring. lolComment
