C450 broken scanner wire.

Trying to find a part number for the front scanner wire but they are not shown in the parts manual.
Does anyone know it and if you can get one?

I don't see it in the C450i parts manual, but it is there in the C458 and C451i parts manuals:

I see same as you did there isn't a part # for the scanner wire and grayed out on parts diagram. Weird, maybe Kon/Min thought it would never break or it's not replaceable? I haven't replaced a scanner wire in a long time, I have to look but are they still braided steel cables? Really hard for that type of cable to break. It would suck if it turns out these cables are weak and start to break, especially with no part # in manual! Curious what the meter count is, hopefully it's real high?

I believe OP meant to write C450i not C450, check the white sticker underneath the glass.

Also the picture they posted shows a scanner section with a slit glass which the old C450 did not have (mid/late 2000s model). That machine would drag the original across the entire glass and push it up and out the right side of the ADF....terrible design.

Maybe because they're omitted it from parts list by mistake. I can't believe C450i scanner wires are any different from others but I DO believe they will correct parts list at some point.

BC, yes it is C450i see KMFLT3CH post about white sticker where is written C450i and slit for DF.

If you do get the correct scanner wires good luck on getting the jig for the mirrors. I had to restring a c650i and the only way I could get the mirror jigs is to get SSD involved. They said that they have one set that they send out on loan when needed.

100% the KM product specialist had to come out to use it as there was only 2 jigs on the whole east coast and they had to sign them out.
