    C450i, installing FS-533

Going to install FS-533 (inner finisher) on this C450i but install instructions shows MK-607 which is a fan assembly to be installed as well. Can the FS-533 be installed without this MK? It's going to be in a very low volume office. Thanks

there are no footnotes on the price sheet for the fs-533 that show it requires anything else. no kits needed.
if you have access to mkm the .xls spreadsheets with price and compatibility are very helpful.
We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.
    The medication helps though...

on the current configurator https://configuratorp.kmbs.us/#/buil...c450i-71-c450i the 533 is not even an option anymore.

We do install the fans here. I have not tried it without it, but I assume it is there due to the higher heat of the fuser, which could cause plastic to warp.

It's mandatory kit according to my docs.
We also didn't tried without fan...it may work but who knows.

Thanks everyone. I'm going to test without while in my shop just to see if it even works. But will add fan before installing machine at customer.

I tried but the fan cannot fit in the location allocated in the installation manual

I fitted one about 2 months ago, it was straightforward

When I finally installed the fan like king posted it was straight forward. I just followed the FS533 instructions for the specific model.

The FS533 isn't available for the newest models now, from the C450i catalog tho:
                          FS-533 FS-533 Finisher (50-sheet inner staple finisher): bizhub C550i / C450i: Requires MK-607
                          bizhub 550i / 450i: Requires MK-607
                          Regards.

Not sure what you posting? We know the C450i, 550i use the MK-607?

Just to be clear you are saying the new 1i series will not use the FS533? I still see it listed on the 1i options.

FS-533 was replaced with FS-542 for the newer 1i series machines.
