C360i Booting up at 50% forever

    Hi guys
I have a customer who has a c360i freezing and boot up itself, when I update the firmware, download completed, and when it boots up it stalled at 50% or half way and stays there for ever, I've tried switching off and on but still same..
I need ideas please, help mention those who solved such issues before to help.

Thank you in advance for your support.
    Regards

i would check out the guide that femaster posted above and see if it helps but in my experience this issue, on this range of machines (0i) is almost always the CPUB and it will need to be replaced to resolve.

I had the same issue and it happen to be a C360i. It was working fine until I updated firmware and when rebooted it stuck at 50%. After trying suggestions from K/M bulletins and info from this forum nothing worked. Ended up replacing the CPUB and all good. You could send to Hytec dealer services for repair or buy a refurb CPUB from them. Repair or refurb both have 1 year warranties.

From the experience of other forum users, if you used the KM data repair tool and it has no effect, you have a hardware failure on CPU-B.

Before replacing. Format the ssd in a external caddy and boot up with latest fw.

Does it fix the issue on your case?

you boot like you are going to load firmware then press machine/ type button before firmware starts. on that screen press 1,7,2,9,3,8 on the far right keypad. You wont hear any beeps, just make sure you dont touch the other keypad that is used to set machine and type. Then go back to firmware screen ,by pressing the ok button, and you will see a boot rom button. Press it and press start if it needs it , it will update if it doesn't need it , it will tell you.
I do this every time with the latest firmware on the usb before I update firmware.

Boot ROM, CPU 1 and 2 updates were successful. However, an MFP controller update is still not possible. (C250i from Olivetti, F231-GG3-RB)The SSD is new but not original. What am I doing wrong?
