Update C250i from old firmware to latest

    Hello,

I need to update some C250i with old firmware (G00-D0, G00-E9...) to latest. Work fine with old firmware (200k-300k counter) but now client want TLS 1.3 and I understand that is included on newer firmware. Are those step below ok to avoid problems with cpu board? any sugestion?

1 – INSTALL G00-J9 firmware and BOOT ROM
    2 – INSTALL G00-RE mass production firmware
3 – INSTALL power control CPU2 (LPPP) and MFP controller boot program FW
    4 – INSTALL GC3-RE special program for switch 187 hex40
    5 - INSTALL G00-RF mass production

    Thanks.

Personally I've always upgraded straight to the latest version and never had any issues. I've always been told to do it in stages but with my extensive knowledge on Linux I know this isn't required.

yeah same here. I've gone from B6 firmware on a 250i to the latest RF firmware with any issues.

I always go straight to the latest. But I have already made the experience that it can make a difference with specific settings if you upgrade in stages or not.

Be sure to update movie data and set sw 25 to 40 or things may not work properly

I've also installed F/W from old to latest without any issues.

Speaking of "i" series movie FW, Looking on kon/min dealer website I don't see a specific movie FW under base or special FW? Is it included in the base FW? I did see the OCR / Font data but not the movie like with the 8 series FW.
                Thanks in advance

Movie Data can be found under the Base Firmware Package Tab.
