I wonder how many of those people went out an bought a drill machine just for the iPhone job.

Luv reading the part about my iPhone no longer works after drilling a hole.
That's because you let all the intelligent air escape when you drill the hole you dopes.
Don't you people know that intelligent air makes all cell phones work the way they do...

A drill. Some people shouldn't have a drill.

          Blue Origin's recent rocket test:

Kind of long, but there is some interesting information. The fun stuff starts at minute 50 or thereabouts though if you are impatient. I thought it looked better in full screen mode then.

I'm a Trump supporter, but over the last 2 or 3 elections, it's been more of a choice between
Would you like to die by fire (Clinton) or a bullet to the back of the head (Trump)
Stomped to death by a raging herd of bulls (Obama), or parachute fails to open (Romney)
Ebola (Obama), the Plague (Dole) In this case I chose Ebola..my wife promised many wonderful nights if I joined the dark side. I did come to my senses later.

Trump has his share of dirty little secrets, but I can't wrap my head around the dems criticism of his federal tax forms.. If he had simply not filed, or lied, that's one thing, but if he used the tax code legally to recoup his prior business losses, what the hell is the problem??? I (and probably every other middle class American in the country) am very happy to pay the absolute least amount of taxes that I can. No mater who wins in this one or any of them over the next 20 25 years of my life, once I can no longer work things are going to get really bad and will not improve. I can only hope that I kick the bucket right before the money runs out...Emujo

Here's the thing. Just about EVERYONE hates it when they think someone is "getting away with" something they think is wrong or should be illegal. Taxes, gun control, loud music, saggy pants, welfare.

Doesn't matter if it's a sensible gripe or not it pisses them off. Now I'm willing to wager than a higher percentage of Democrats/Progressive run more on feels than reals, not to say there aren't people on the opposite side of the spectrum that are the same either.

When someone FEELS really strongly that what you are doing is JUST WRONG, they tend to get pretty wrapped around the axle about it.

Everyone gets so hyped over the presidential elections. For context, it's just one person, there are thousands of people that work at and around the white-house that no-one gives a flying f about.
My theory is that the president doesn't matter all that much, but people get really excited to separate into groups and make a big deal of the whole thing.

I'm glad when I get contracted to repair the voting machines. Then I am legally restricted from voting, a great excuse!

I agree with you the president doesn't matter as much as most people think and if you don't like either choice for president and make sure that you make very smart and well informed choices when you vote for your Senators your Congress people in both the state and government elections they matter the most they can override with the president ddoes. I've decided that since I hate both candidates so very much that I'm going to vote for one of the independence or third-party candidates because if enough people vote for them they can get federal matching funds for their party and we won't get stuck with just two choices for president next term. Just 5% of people voting for let's just say Gary Johnson will mean that the Libertarian party gets federal matching funds and a 15% of people vote for the Libertarian candidate then they'll be guaranteed a place in the debates next time

The President DOES matter, in that, he or she gets to nominate and choose things like the judges on appellate and supreme courts, Secretaries that have regulation authority over us, who we dance with on the international stage and those ugly little things called "presidential degrees" that take years to unwind. A misdirected third party vote, though the intention is good, is a definite vote for the other candidate. We have to slow the train down before we can stop it. Just a Midwest southern boy's opinion.

The president has the power of veto over bills. The congress can override the veto.

In other words : The president has the power to levitate off the ground by pulling on his boot straps, and Congress has the power to snip off his boot straps....

The separation of powers is foremost the most important factor in a healthy democratic society. It is a very real "paper , rock , scissors" power structure.

                            How to purchase a flashlight

Any more, the light from a smart phone screen works pretty well for a general purpose flashlight for navigation around the home. At least it does here anyway.
Now I'm curious. Theoretically I've got an old Army crook neck flashlight around here somewhere, I need to pull that out and see if it still works. It was the handiest thing back in the day.

You have that wrong. Anything that Congress passes can be vetoed by the President. Both houses of Congress can override a veto by a 2/3 vote in each house. To override an Executive Order, Congress would have to pass a Bill stating that. The President can then veto it.

When originally used, the Executive Order was intended to provide guidance from the President to the appropriate bureaucracies as to how the President felt an existing or newly signed law should be carried out by the remainder of the Executive Branch, not to create an equivalent to a law where no law currently exists.

In my opinion, all Executive Orders should become null and void with the swearing in of a new President.
